Won’t discover Leviton DZ15S-1BZ switch

I’m trying to get this migration moving so it was time to pair the Leviton switch.
I reset it, brought it close to the hubitat and started the zwave inclusion. Can’t detect the switch. Tried resetting and discovery several times. No luck.

Is this just one more of those products that don’t work with hubitat, or is there something else going on?

I read about updating the firmware but they wanr $70 for the usb stick which is more than a new switch of abother brand, that is, assuming that there something besides lutron.

It's nice that the Lutron bridge integrates be the responsivness of those devices seems sluggish when compared to devices that work natively through the hubitat.

Not in my experience. Hubitat’s Lutron integration is very fast. I’ve integrated both Caseta and RadioRA 2 systems with Hubitat.

I got to echo what @marktheknife said. My house is mostly Lutron Caseta dimmers and switches. Response is extremely fast (for example, the time between a Hubitat-connected motion sensor detecting motion, and a Caseta switch/dimmer turning on is frequently under 150 ms).

Thanks,
I'll have to watch it. It is, however much slower than wink with the obsolete connected bulb remote.

Doubt it. I have the LCBR working to control Hubitat-paired Sengled bulbs. It’s about the same as the Picos.

Do you have a static IP set on the Lutron Pro hub? Do you have "Use Direct Telnet" telnet turned on in the child? I would also ask if you have any z-wave ghosts (they can interfere with overall processing)

I think this thread got mangled. The Leviton issue was supposed to be a new thread and I don't understand how itss title got attached to lutron stuff.

Anyway, the leviton problem has been eliminated. I juset plugged into a different smart outlet and am now omly using it as a dumb dimmer.

Thanks for the helpful comments.

What is the issue with the DZ6HD? Mine work fine.

well, I don't have that one. I have a DZ15S. The issue was that I could reset it easily but in wouldn't pair. I have since discovered, when working with a GE outdoor outlet, that I had to keep pressing the button while the hubitat was doing its scan in order for it to detect the device. Maybe If I went back and tried that with the DZ15S, that might make a difference.

Oh, you said "dumb dimmer" so I assumed the dimmer version.

The DZ15S has never given me that problem but it's worth a try.

The dz15 is a dimmer as well as being a zwave device. Since I couldn't pair it I'm just using it as a manual dimmer.

I DZ15 is not a dimmer. IT's a Switch. DZ15S (S is for Switch).
