How can we request enhancements to the mobile app? I’d really appreciate it if our mobile app would offer us the option of adding widgets to our Home Screen.
I have found ways to work around the limitations but most 3rd party apps require a polling interval for updates. I’ve done some stuff with pushcuts, but setting this up on multiple devices is tedious work. If we could have native widgets built in I wouldn’t have to setup anything for my families devices I could just tell them to setup their own widgets.
I’ve started looking into writing my own hubitat widget app, but the costs and effort just don’t seem worth it to me. So I’d have to pay $98.99 per year to get access to iOS developer kits and host my own server to receive notifications from hubitat. The server would receive from hubitat and send push notification to Apple for my app to receive.
I see why people are using pushcuts and other apps now….
Please please please Hubitat, build in iOS widgets for devices. I would be willing to pay for that service.
