Whenever I try to customize my template colors for a new item, I will change, say the open state, hit save and it says it is saved. I then go to the closed state, change that to a different color, hit save and it says it saved. If I go back to open, it is the same as the closed color. This goes back and forth, trying different combinations of going open to close or open to "select state" to close, etc. Eventually it works out, but it seems a lot more difficult that it should be. Am I doing something wrong?
I find the dashboard has quirks with templates too.
Heard a rumor, Dashboard 2.0 is on the horizon.

I just change one 'state' at a time.
Change open colour and save and come out of changes options.
Now go back in and change closed options and save.
Seems to work for me.
