Why can I access Hubitat with Firefox but not Safari?

This is a relatively new issue for me. I can get into Habitat with Firefox but not with Safari on my mac.

Hard to say, but that shouldn't happen. How are you accessing the hub? By IP address? Anything unusual in your macos or Safari settings, like HTTP proxies? Does findmyhub.hubitat.com show anything (and work when you try)?

I've noticed it usually happens if I try to access a hub from a previously open tab. Try using a new tab. If you are still having problems, Brave is available for iOS and iPad (and I think Mac as well). Give that a shot. I have never had any issue with my hubs using Brave in about 6 years I’ve been using hubitat.

Thanks for your reply. I am using my IP address to try to locate hubs but it indicates that none can be found when I do this with safari. I didn’t think that there is anything else unusual when using safari.

Thanks I will give that a try.

FWIW I only use Safari and have never had a problem accessing my hubitat hubs. Can you ping the hubitats from a terminal window? Do your proxy settings look like this?

When you get the can't reach page, look if it's using https instead of http,,, If https it may be rejecting due to an invalid cert.

Thanks for your reply. I am using my IP address to try to locate hubs but it indicates that none can be found when I do this with safari. I didn’t think that there is anything else unusual when using safari. And proxy settings look identical.

try going to hubitat.local

How about this question?

Also what do you get? A 404 error or something else? There really is no problem at all accessing Hubitat hubs from Safari. Many of us routinely or even exclusively do this.
