I was on 2.3.7 and had issues with google home after upgrading to 2.3.8. At the time, I reverted it back to 2.3.7 hoping it would be fixed and left it until today, when I had to update (to 2.4.2.138) to gain compatibility with other software. Again the Google Home integration broke, so I bit the bullet and tried to reset everything. I eventually removed Hubitat access from Google and deleted the Google Home app. Now (and before) none of those integrations or apps appear to be available. I seem to be the only one. What am I missing?
Hardware: C5
Platform Version: 2.4.2.138
Google's My Account / 3rd Party Apps & Services shows no hubitat account linked (I deleted it)
Google Home's +Add > 'Works with Google Home' shows no hubitat available to link (was missing after the upgrade also).
Google Home's +Add > 'Works with Google Home' > search 'hubitat' returns no results.
Hubitat's built-in app search shows no Google Home app, other than the helper.
I believe this is added automatically by going through the steps in the Google Home App to authorize your hub, unlike other built-in apps on the HE hub that you would normally install through the HE Admin web-interface.
Best I can think to suggest here would be try an upper-case "H", i.e. Hubitat rather than hubitat, or simply scroll down the long list without trying to filter it.
I just tried this... I had no Google Home app installed. Then I installed the Google Home installation helper app. Then I noticed I had the Google App installed. There is a timestamp in the info for that app, which matches that it was installed just now at the same timestamp as I installed the helper app.
So it appears installing the helper app installs the Google app.
I then uninstalled the help app, and Google Home app remained.
It is probably worth still trying to stick to the steps from the documentation and making sure they are not working as expected, and where possible working out where they are lacking. Installing the helper app does not seem like the intended path, but I could be wrong... That said, still useful to know how it behaved for you...
I can't use/finish the helper app because of the issues finding hubitat to link. I did run all the way through it last night and again today and clicked done, but it doesn't install the hubitat app.
That problem is probably secondary though. I still can't find Hubitat in the list of 'works with Google' integrations. I tried the capital H suggestion, and scrolled through the list. It wasn't listed.
As additional information, it wasn't listed yesterday either as 'connected' or available to link. That was why I deleted the account access from my Google account page hoping to reset things. I also tried clearing data from the Google home app itself.
One thing I noticed is that with Hubitat already setup on mine it does not appear in any search results, but from one of your earlier screenshots it does not appear in the list of existing integrations like it does for me.
All of my devices are still listed in home as 'offline', Clicking the unlink hubitat button takes me back to that same 'home control' screen where hubitat is not listed.
Please ensure you are using the same Google account for your Hubitat & cellphone. If you still can't seem to sort this out, I'd say delete the entire "home" from Google and start over. I'm running 2.4.2.124 and just for fun I ran through the setup again using the Google Helper app in Hubitat and it worked fine.
If your devices are still showing in Google Home even though you have removed the integration in home, it is possible that they did not "sync" out when you deleted the integration.
Have you tried telling google to resync to see if the devices disappear (total longshot, I am aware)?
csheffield, I am having the same issues as you. I have been for about a month now. I think after my last android security update is when it all went out the window for me.
I did finally figure this out...
I contacted Google support, who weren't very helpful, but they did get me thinking about other home members. No one had hubitat connections or any ability to unlink (it was limited to 'owner' only), but I removed everyone from the home and the connection finally showed up for me to unlink/reconnect.
