What's The Proper (Best) Way To Exclude Long Range Z-Wave Devices?

I think I managed to exclude a ZEN04 plug just now, but I was not to confident about it.

I am using @jtp10181 's smart start manager app.

My sequence, likely wrong, was to first exclude the device.
The message said: "unknown device excluded".

Then I deleted it from the ss mgr app.

Still in the device list.

I then did a force remove.

No ghost, apparently.

What's the right way to do this?

Thanks.

You need to remove or disable in SS first, otherwise it will just re-include itself right after you exclude it, which is possibly what happened in your case.

Not sure it sometimes says unknown device, another bug in z-wave since they added LR support.

Best thing to do would be to run the exclusion and then reboot the hub, then check the z-wave details again. This will clear up any leftover LR nodes that get stuck in the list sometimes (cache maybe?).
