Wonder if the engineering logs would show more? @bobbyD
Are you new here?
Obviously I needed to search... hmmmm.... this is new to my C8. The C8 is an early model but I only recently put it in service. I don't see any specific device zigbee or Z-wave that seems to be spamming. I have no clue where to begin to look. Never had this issue on the C7. Wonder if the C8 Pro would be more stable?
Nope. I've never had a C-8[Regular], but my C-7 was much better than my C8P re: Zigbee. If I was even slightly less lazy, I'd move all my Zigbee devices back to my C7 and Hub Mesh them.
Well that's disappointing that they don't have a fix. I did just find a motion sensor whose LED was lighting on movement but it wasn't reporting to the hub. It showed about 65% battery but I replaced it anyway and now it's happy. Also a Z-wave kitchen motion that is currently configured but not being used that was stuck in a motion active condition. It showed 85% but I replaced that battery and it is no longer stuck. Will see if any of that makes a difference.
They wouldn't, unfortunately.
Firmware update for the C8P is out in beta testing, which should address some of the incidents reported with the Zigbee radio.
I'll be testing that when my Pro arrives Wed and I migrate the C8.
My rock solid ZB radio has been spewing Offline log entries now for 2 weeks.
No reason I can think of.
Just the "Pro"?
Will the firmware update also include the C8 non-Pro?
(Is there a Zigbee or Zwave hardware difference between the C-8 pro/non-pro?)
Thanks!
Is this out in the current beta builds or in a separate beta test group?
I only ask as I have not seen my Alert for poor ZB channel waver.
Edit: Thanks to @thebearmay pointing out the firmware upgrade switch.
I was under the impression that was for me to upload a hex file if I wanted to.
Upgraded.
