Systems that support Intel vPro / AMT allow you to assign a different IP address to the same nic (or the wireless nic) for use with Intel's remote management stack.
You have to use a tool like mesh commander to use Intel AMT for remote management as it is marketed as a corporate tool - so it is a bit different than IPMI in that regard.
You can also change the remote desktop part of Intel AMT to standard VNC if you want, too, which is what I usually do so that I don't need to use Mesh Commander all the time.
To use (general overview):
- Boot into the intel Management Engine BIOS Extension (MEBx)/amt/vPro config screen from the boot menu
- Setup network settings
- On another PC install and run mesh commander
- Add the new IP and password you defined for Intel AMT/vPro
