What is the status of 2.2.4?

Hub firmware 2.2.4 was released on November 16. This was build 2.2.4.139, specifically. There have been a few more "hotfixes" since then, with the most recent release (earlier today) being 2.2.4.143. The entirety of 2.2.4 was never "pulled," but the previous hotfix (2.2.4.142) was briefly released and then recalled yesterday. You can read more about the changes in this thread:
