New to this Hubitat c8 Pro, have devices on Z-wave working with automatons, remote control from buttons so far....
I create a dashboard but clicking the tile does nothing "Useful" in mobile App?
Also on devices if I turn something ON it doesn't show ON until I pull down to cause a page refresh then status shows. Shouldn't the status update after tapping?
Just need a Dashboard on App that can trigger ON/OFF for devices or rules by tapping just a tile which toggles state, This I can't figure out at day 3 of my learning adventure with Hubitat.
What mobile app version? On current iOS app the device tab is working fine for me, tiles refresh as soon as I tap on them. Dashboards also working fine.
If you don't have any rooms created, go to Devices tab on the Mobile app and in the upper corner menu select "Show No Room Assigned." That's probably all you need to show On/Off devices, no Dashboard needed for those.
As for rules, that might be a little more complicated.
That's the power of Hubitat, it offers different ways of accomplishing what you need. You just have to pick the one that best suits your technical ability and preference. Glad to hear the Hubitat Dashboard works better for you.
I really wish you guys would put work into "legacy" dashboards to improve them. I've had to do so much to customize as many problems away as I can. A lot left that I wish could be done. For example, allow us to customize the HSM pop-up or at least improve it. Fix the "loading" screen so that the browser is in charge of loading and it doesn't hang on them whenever there is a momentary connection issue. "EZ" dashboards are absolutely not ready for prime time and make zero sense to me. It seems like you need to hire someone who knows how to do this, because it is a huge weak spot in the product. How do you call the old one "legacy" when the new one is missing most features and customizability? Feels like such a half-baked product in this regard. The right pathway was to continue to improve the real dashboards to make them easier to use out of the box and also more customizable for advanced users. This would have been a much more difficult undertaking, and so we are floundering now with two half-baked dashboard products instead of one well designed dashboard product. I think that Hubitat is a great product overall, and a lot of bugs that were killing it for me have been fixed (Z-wave issues primarily). This is meant as genuine constructive feedback and I hope it will be taken that way.
I am not a big fan of the "Easy Dash " Just seems to Hard to read ¯\(ツ)/¯
Compared to the " legacy" Dashboard seems way easier to read ¯\(ツ)/¯
But will say its nice to have both options
