What gives? Switch OFF method being reported

Hi

This should be impossible right!!
I switched the light off using the HE console, and the log showed this.
I can physically not get out of the chair & reach the light switch to also turn is off at the swicth for this to be correct!

Ideas on the cause anybody?

Depends on the device and driver being used, the generic zwave switch driver is the least accurate in this regard.
Which device and driver are you using?

I believe you're seeing the Hub send out the off command, followed 3.5 seconds later with the response from the device.

There's a large thread here on this topic and @JDRoberts #4 is probably a factor. The reply from the device gets altered along the way by older repeaters.

Physical Events Not Logging Consistently

So ST was masking the issue from these manufactures that refused to pay the Lutron royalty for their patent. The only solution on Hubitat is to setup a period polling as noted above. Mike, you're correct in the driver assessment - it is using the generic zwave switch. The device is [cough, cough] a GE 12722 Switch .
