Not sure if this would work.. but saw something like this recently that is suppose to integrate those type of systems.
Currently only in the EU though. But coming to the NA.

Oh this looks really good! I wonder if it's easily removable? Looks like it's wired into the phone somehow?
Found the EU product page! Looks easy enough, although the brand isn't listed anywhere on my intercom, so I guess I'd just have to try all of the included wires

Maybe using one of those new Aqara FP1 human presence sensors
( aqara Human Presence Sensor FP1 Using millimeter waves can detect subtle movements, intelligently sense various human movement directions and close distances. Not only can detect static humans, but also detect the direction of action, the distance is close, and even space positioning
I havenāt used one of those, but according to your request, it would do the job.
I believe they are a little too big, and certainly not cheap.

I have some in sealing LED lights on old wiring that don't have a neutral. For the life of me, I can't get Lutron Casseta's to work on them, always have ghost lighting. Ever after trying various Bypass , Load Resistor and Dummy Loads. I'm thinking I might need to replace them to something different as I'm not at the budget to re-do this old house wiring.
