Im able to use web socket with ws:// (Non secure connection) but cant connect with wss:// (Secure connection)
The wss:// url is tested using chrome web socket client extension.

I have the same problem. @mike.maxwell, is there a header that we can set to use this.
If the answer is no, I am thinking of writing an external applet (run under nodeJS on a external raspberryPi, windows stick, or any android device (old phone, tablet). I am still searching to see if this has already been done.
