webCoRE for Hubitat Updates

yes, so 31% of 17% = 5-6%...so pretty low

Mine is a bit lower, but I don't keep the webCoRE IDE/dashboard open. The main webCoRE handles all the IDE communication.

In any case, I don't see an issue.

Perfect, thanks very much

Does Hubitat version 2.3.8.117 fix the issue with the webCoRE update using HPM?

No mention of that...

Nope just tried and got the following errors

I had held off doing it manually hoping the most recent upgrades would resolve it.

Greetings!

Before I dive into the manual upgrade of webCoRE, could someone please help me confirm that I've captured all the necessary steps? The information seems to be a bit spread around, and I want to ensure a smooth update process.

Smooth Webcore Update: Confirming the Steps

  1. Pause the Webcore App in Hubitat

  2. Upgrading Webcore

is the guide to follow.

Note: Some file updates may take 4-5 minutes, so be patient during this process.

  1. Fixing Piston Warnings

is the recommended approach.

  1. Fixing HPM

are the steps to follow.

  1. Resume the Webcore App in Hubitat

Have I covered all the required steps? Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help!

I don't see any reason to do anything besides the actual update in step 2 unless you have other problems that you are trying to solve, though it doesn't hurt. ("Other problems" meaning anything besides the ability to use HPM to update the code--that's all it would do, is step 2 for you.)

Hi @bertabcd1234,

Thank you for your feedback—I greatly appreciate it!

I may be misunderstanding your question, but currently, you cannot upgrade webCoRE with HPM. So even if I only complete step #2, HPM will still state that I need to do an update, hence my reasoning for including it. Therefore, step 4 is required as far as I can tell by reading through this forum (I’ll save you the reading time by not linking all the instances I found about it on this forum and others). Step 3 is a precautionary step as it has been reported with the fix on this forum as well.

Thank you again for your input. I’m looking forward to your thoughts or any further questions you might have!

Cheers, David :rocket:

OK, yes, step 4 would be necessary if you want HPM to keep bothering you about it. I hadn't seen anything for the others, and they are not something HPM would do on its own (which is where you'd be if this problem weren't here in the first place), but again, it can't hurt to do if you want to for any reason.

Hey @bertabcd1234,

Thanks for the clarification. I appreciate your insights on this.

Best regards,
David

I imported then saved all 4 of the updated WebCoRE apps. I then unmatched and matched WebCoRE using HPM and got this when I checked on HPM's Update.

Not sure what I have done wrong. Can someone please suggest the next step or a way to troubleshoot this?

When you matched did you select the checkbox, assume latest version?

Ah, I see! That step was crucial, and I overlooked it. Thanks for setting me straight!

Thanks again for the detailed description.

One question came up on my side. How do I pause a HE app as stated in bullet point 1?

Thanks

I noticed that in HPM, we have an available upgrade for webCoRE from version 1.0.89 to 1.0.90. I'm excited about the new features and improvements this update could bring.

I wanted to check in and ask if it's possible to use HPM to perform this upgrade, or if it needs to be done manually like the last upgrade. Your guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for your help!

I just went straight to repair and it updated first time

Still getting the Fatal error using HPM on a C7. Will do the update manually

@nh.schottfam - can you comment on what's changed in 1.0.90? Maybe I missed it, but I don't see anything about a version update in post 1 of this message thread. Thanks!

I truly hope we can resolve this issue soon. Is there any light at the end of the tunnel, @nh.schottfam?
