The WC IDE is more than I could hope for as an unpaid, crowd supported GUI.
But, as an old programmer, I miss things like cross references to the use of variables and the ability to catalogue/archive (pdf, print) the code. I won't as for Basic line numbers.
In the future could we get a way to PDF individual/all the pistons?
When I change a device or rename/replace a global or local variable it's hard (to remember) every piston that needs updating.
WebCore Device Audit is laudable @thebearmay but he has to rework his code sometimes when the HE team updates the HE main code.
A nice cross-reference list would show all the devices and variables that need updating in the associated pistons. I often miss one until I click a remote or wanl into a room and go, Hmmm, that failed, dummy me.

Cheers.
Iād second this. When I moved from ST to HE, I had to make a screenshot of every piston so I could add the correct devices once migrated. A pdf backup routine would be ideal. If your he fails and you have to restore to a new one, you can get the pistons back from a backup, but allocating devices again could be a difficult job. I keep thinking I should screen print all pistons again, just in case!
Yes I did the same when I moved over years ago.
Now I use the snapshot feature in a pinch but that's a clumsy way to document code.
I have had piston fail to restore from backups as well, corrupt I assume, so pasting a pistom from plain text would be a bonus if we could get a text backup.
I will try to make webCoRE printable, it looks like currently it just truncates to one page. Not sure if this is possible.
