Wall switch\plug device leveling plates

Don't know where to post this.

I found these on Amazon.

For single gang regular switches and outlets they work GREAT. For triple gang you just do the two on the outside. For double gang you have to cut one of the plates because they're too wide.

They are a little tough to slide around the big body of Zooz smart switches but they do fit. Barely.

I'm extremely happy with the results. The depth they set the device to is perfect for Lutron Claro wall plates. I even use the device leveling plates on things that weren't loose, because of the consistent look.

This always bugs me when I look at my receptacles.

Why do I keep looking at all the receptacles in my house? I have my reasons :speak_no_evil:.

Thanks for sharing this, do you have a link to the product page?

I've bought them on Amazon - not sure if locally available at HD/Lowes/Menards, but that could be another (potentially cheaper) option...

I might have to give that a try. I have a few boxes that sink into wall when I try to screw in the switch and it DRIVES ME CRAZY. I would be willing to have one that is 1/4" thick if it came w/ appropriate cover to bring all of these deep smart switches out to better fit in gang box.

I have no good explanation for staring at my outlets and switches either, but I can feel a twitch in my right hand, my ordering hand...

I've used those. They work pretty well, depending on the amount of missing drywall, but always better than what it looked like before.

Spacers work well too. Sometimes you may need a longer screw but these go between the box and the receptacle/switch. Home Depot has them locally in store:

I actually bought a Chinese knockoff of the Raco: https://a.co/d/04KWg7af

It was an accident. The ones I got are thicker than the Raco, at least according to their listed measurements. Not sure if thicker is better or not. In a couple spots I did have to put a screwdriver on it and tap with a hammer to "sink" the leveling plate into the drywall a little bit. This was to fix a gap it left. Note that my walls are knockdown, not smooth.
