Volume control of some commands not working?

I have a Google Mini Speaker with a device label "Office Speaker". The "Speak" command in RM has a volume option that does not work on my system -- all sound is at the current Mini Speaker volume (set with its hardware controls). I have to add a "Set Volume" command to control the volume. Example:

Configuration: C-8 Pro hub, platform version 2.3.9.200 (ignore the %text% value, it's from testing a while back).

Is this a bug in RM, or am I doing something wrong?

Does the volume command work properly from the driver details page?

Yes, the volume command works properly from the driver details page.

There’s no need to set the volume twice in the rule, maybe that’s throwing it off

Try using speak without the volume parameter or remove the volume from the speak command and leave the separate volume command in place.
Try both and see which one works.

The example rule as I wrote it works fine. The point I was trying to make is that you MUST use the Set Volume command because the volume option in the Speak command simply does NOT work by itself. That’s why I had to add the Set Volume command to fix the fact that the Speak command appears to be broken, at least with respect to a Google mini speaker.
