Visonic MCT-370 SMA LR Zigbee Contact Sensor < Very Good!

Very Impressed with this little contact. Was Surprised
Its a contact and temp sensor, and has a very amazing range.
I have this in my mailbox (which is steel or aluminum), and it reaches the house just fine. I install the actual door contact on the door and the magnet on the inside of the mailbox. But even with the mailbox door shut, I'm getting temperature readings and it hasn't missed a beat. I think it would work amazing for garage doors.

Agree. Have one on a building 100' from house and works good. Temperature is not accurate tho. They are also inexpensive.

I agree, seems lower by ~3F or so, is that what you've observed. Things are great otherwise.

The Generic Zigbee Contact Sensor has an adjustment feature. I use one in my freezer at -4.6F. Battery is about 25% and holding for months.
