I am struggling trying to figure out how to create a virtual dimmer / switch for a child device that will not pass to my homeseer system via the Maker API. I am forced to create a virtual device (at least I think I have to) in this case a dimmer switch so that I can add it to the maker API and homeseer will pick it up.
The child device is from a FX luminaire lighting system and comes across with on/off switch, dimmer and LED color selection.
Is there a way to get all of these functions in one virtual switch? I can make 3 different devices to control these no problem but with 18 lights, that is 54 virtual devices I would need to make. Thanks
doesn't "virtual RGBW Light" do that?
Perhaps I find it clumsy to configure and that may be my lack of experience with virtual switches.
On another note... I did update my Hubitat platform and It turns out that now I can pass the child devices to the Maker API and can see them in Homeseer.
