Finding a similar need for setting a vibration threshold in HSM Custom where I am using a ST Multipurpose sensor on a locked barn door that has a difficult configuration for using the contact magnet.
As a "jostle sensor" the vibration option worked great until the winds came. Based on my testing there is a pretty specific signature to how this door would be "tried" by a would be intruder.
The sensor is too darn sensitive for a "trigger on any vibration". It would be nice to have a threshold or sensitivity setting say "trigger at a level of 5" on a 1-10 scale.
I presume to achieve this I'm going to have to do it outside of HSM and with some factor of the 3-Axis acceleration data.
Somebody steer me otherwise but it just seems like everything one might need to access/do with this kind of vibration/shock/acceleration sensor for security purposes ought be available & coordinated under HSM App. I just don't see it....but I'd bet I'm not the only one that would appreciate having it there.
