Using Samsung Modes and Routines for Presence Sensing

A lot of it is Greek to me though.
I'm not even clear on how/what a webhook is.
Any illuminating info would help.

Presence detection, without using phone. RFID?

Been using Samsung's built in Modes and Routines app to manage my presence when I connect/disconnect from my home WiFi from my phone. If you don't have a Samsung, you could look at something like MacroDroid to do the same. The way I have mine setup is: When I connect to my home WiFi, it use a webhook to turn on my virtual presence switch in my C8 which triggers my outdoor lighting routine. 1. Get an automation app for your phone (there's one called Automate for Android).
2. Setup a device in Maker API to toggle.
3. Add the device as a rule trigger to do whatever you want to happen.
4. Setup an automation in the app on your phone to hit the device in Maker whenever you connect/disconnect from your home WiFi (This would be the "webhook" part).
