i am new to Hubitat
i bought used hub now when i try to set it up it says i need to sign in as previous user, so how i change it to my account
I believe a hard reset (as opposed to a soft reset) will wipe out everything stored on the hub, including all the previous registration information. This is a security measure to prevent someone from hacking into your hub.
You might want to contact the Hubitat support staff and let the know your specific situation so they can guide you in the proper procedure to delete the previous registration and establish your new account.
Contact support. It needs to be factory reset, but I think only they can delete the associated cloud account.

I think that depends on the version. I think newer recovery versions reset the back end automatically too.
Edit: oops I see bobby is typing as I wrote this. He can give official guidance. Never mind my idle thoughts.
