Use a network Image for Dashboard Background URL

I am trying to set up dashboards and using the background URL feature. Works fine with a URL pointing to a website, but I am wanting to use local images I have on my network.

Can someone tell me the correct path I would need for an image stored on say "computer name/d:/folder name/image.jpg"

I have tried various things like file:///pc name/folder name/image.jpg, smb, etc..

I can't host a local website due to ISP and carrier NAT

Or is this possible In HE?

Its possible, but you do need a local webserver, something like a NAS, or rPI, both have webserver capabilities. But basically, a local webserver.

Maybe another PC using IIS?

I setup a quick local site in IIS. I used the pc's IP it works great and much quicker loading times on tablets connected via wi-fi.
