Usage for Device Name and Device Label

Are there any plans to utilize Device Name and Device Label. As far as I can tell, adding a Device Label just overrides the Device Name.

  • For instance, it would be really nice in the Device List if these were in 2 different columns so we could sort the list by one or another.

  • Another great feature would be to have the ability to use either Device Name or Device Label with apps like Dashboard and Alexa. For example lets say you have a Kitchen Light and an Office Light.

    Device Name: Office Light (Use this with Alexa as it must be unique)
    Device Label: Light (Use this with Dashboard to eliminate need for CSS)

    Device Name: Kitchen Light (Use this with Alexa as it must be unique)
    Device Label: Light (Use this with Dashboard to eliminate need for CSS)
