Upgraded but cannot connect to Homekit

Okay I updated to 2.3.4.114 and I upgraded my Zwave firmware and I've rebooted a few times. When I try to get the Home app to find the hub I scan the QR code and it sits for some time and finally comes back with Accessory Not Found. It does work with Homebridge so I know it's working I'd just like to get my Hoobs box out of the equation. One time it did find the hub but then threw some other error. That was last night and I don't recall the error.

Suggestions on what to try next?

Note I do have 2 Apple TV devices and one of those is the hub.

Disregard. I kept scanning the QR code and trying over and over again and it finally found it. :man_shrugging:

Added a few lights initially. Now I added more but they aren't showing up. I've closed and restarted the app on the iPhone but no joy. On the Hubitat app I've done reload devices a few times but nothing. Do I need to rescan the QR code between device adds?

Sometimes it takes a little while for them to show up in the Home app.

Try rebooting the Apple TV that’s acting as the Home Hub. It will switch to the other Apple TV.

It did switch but still not seeing the additional devices. I'll mess with it more tomorrow it's not that urgent.

This is not a normal thing to happen. It may indicate a network issue (bonjour?). You don’t have a Netgear router by chance do you? I used to have terrible problems with airplay, airprint, and wireless printing and streaming in general until I ditched my Netgear router (actually for a separate reason). Magically, everything worked after installing the new router. I used to curse at my laser printer, having to reboot it every time I needed to print something.
Anyway, maybe try rebooting your router.

Asus and it's rock solid for everything else. I have a very specific one that I have VPN installed on. I have a 100mb connection and with VPN on with this router it's still 99mb. Other routers fall off to about 50-70% max speed with VPN enabled on the router so I'm not changing my router for sure.

I'll try rebooting all the hardware tomorrow.

That’s why I switched. I was getting 500Mb on a 1Gb fiber connection.

Wich Asus router do you have? I have the same Problems as you and I have an Asus AX ZenWifi mesh system.

I had big problems with connecting to my HomePod Mini, wich is now my HomeKit hub, when I installed it on my network.

Sorry, I didn’t switch to Asus (almost did). I have two of the Velop mx5300 mesh routers. Best routers I’ve ever owned. Most importantly, my wife and kids have no complaints about them.

The newly added devices did finally show up. I have an Asus RT-AC86U with the Merlin firmware. Once the devices are found on homekit they are fast to respond.
