Ok so last night I upgraded my hub from 2.1.8.117 to the newest version 2.2.3.148. well tonight my ring alarm didn't arm at 10:30pm like it usually does, so I went in the virtual hub and tried to arm it and it would not arm from inside of HE.
No matter what I tried it wouldn't arm so I started thinking what changed from tonight from yesterday night and it jumped at me that I updated my hub so I went into package manager to uninstall and reinstall ring connect and package manager crashed tried again and it crashed again. So I did a hub restore from 2.2.3.148 back to my previous version 2.1.8.117 and ring connect nad package manager started working again I went into the ring virtual alrm hub and was able to arm ring from there again.
So can someone who has the ring connect app and hub version 2.2.3.148 installed confirm that they work together if not, if you use rong connect I would not update until someone fixes the problem.
I updated a C-5 hub then things went bonkers, the ring connection quite working and then I tried to uninstall it and package manager kept crashing so I rolled the C-5 back to the firmware I was using prior to the update and the everything started working again.
You did the right thing. C-7 people (like me) seem mostly fine with 2.2.3.148. After I migrated my C-5, I havenโt updated or used it. Search @April.Brandtโs recent posts, she seems to have figured out what works on what.
I believe that 2.2.4 has not yet gone into beta testing, and it is expected to be the Holy Grail.
Yeah Iโm not sure what was wrong in the update but my wife totally freaked out when she had to go into the ring app to turn off the alarm this morning I mean really
