Did you install the child device code when you installed the container code?
This will only create the device if you have already installed the child device code

I just installed the container and child device code, created a new container device and it worked perfectly
I copied the code directly from github

One thing I noticed from your screenshot
I dunno if it will make a difference but you have spaces in the network ID of the container..
Try creating it without any spaces.. I never have them so I don't know if it could cause problems

YAY!!!!!!! Worked this time. I'm pretty sure this is how I did it first time.
Not to worry. I'm there now.

Now to the second issue.
I still cannot see 'CustomDisplay'.
I'll delete and re-install the apps again.

Just try re saving the child app then check the device to see if CustomDisplay has a value

Did a re-install.
Nothing in CustomDisplay.

Did a toggle of the switch. Still nothing.
Here is the basic stuff I have configured just to get things moving.

The state of the switch is changing in the device OK.

There is a strange gap in the logs.

EDIT: Actually it is showing Lamp Light Off in white it is very faint.

Ok.
Try hitting the 'Refresh' button on the display device
Does it show anything in the logs (turn logging on for the device and app) when you hit refresh?

Ah!
I just realised
You are using a white font on a white background
So you won't see anything on the device page.
Try changing the font colour to: 000000
(6x zero = black)
Then save preferences & refresh

OK. Here is the latest.
Changed to black.
Now seeing this in the device.

Still no CustomDisplay appearing under 'Pick an Attribue'.
