Update sticky post in "Get Help"

The post "READ FIRST" states:

Those instructions appear to be outdated, or perhaps they refer to features within the Settings page that are very recent.

As of HE version 2.3.6.146, there is no option to Rebuild database after clicking on Reboot.

Perhaps the instructions need to indicate the specific HE platform version to which they apply.

It’s still there, but one has to click the “advanced options” checkbox first.

Did you click Show Advanced Options?

Or is that what you mean? The step to open advanced isn't documented?

Under version 2.3.6.146, there is no checkbox for "Show advanced options".

Clicking on Settings, then Reboot brings up a pop-up box that reads only:
Reboot the hub now?
With the choices of "No" or "Yes".

v2.3.6 is old, it's true.

On the one hand, it's heroic to have documentation match the current: v2.3.9

(Low memory, errors, crashing, hub becomes unavailable, etc..)
are any of those symptoms you are experiencing? Because perhaps the best would be to update the documentation to begin with: Upgrade to the latest version.

It seems like a simple solution would be to:

  1. Keep old versions of the documentation (ie., instructions that predate the "rebuild database" option)
  2. Include version number info with the documentation (ie., these instructions apply up to vX.Y.Z)

Just remembered that’s a wiki post, so I updated it to include the one additional step of clicking on “show advanced options.”

That post isn’t a part of the hub documentation, per se. It’s a collection of initial troubleshooting suggestions written up by one of the community moderators for users that need help.

I believe the simplest solution would be to keep the post updated as the hub platform changes over time.

Does this make you happy?

Just added this

IMO, you should just update to the current platform.
