i want to konw why the condition says unused. I have a contact sensor that I want to trigger a notification to my phone IF the mode is DAY ( not away) and the time is between sunrise and 1 hr. before sunset. It also turns on a few lights for me.
But why is the condition UNUSED?
The "manage conditions" list is a list of conditions that have been created for that rule - but that doesn't mean you have actually used them in the rule. In your case what you probably want to do is create a rule with a trigger that the driveway contact is closed and then create a required condition that checks to make sure the mode is day and the time is between sunrise and sunset-45. Or if mode day covers the same time period you can skip the second condition.
