Over the last day or so Protect smart detections have stopped working.
HE gets the motion active/inactive events as well as the end smart detection events. I don't see any of the trigger events.
Has anybody experienced anything similar?
C-8 Pro, 2.4.1.177
Protect, 6.0.41 (updated on the 19th)
Everything was working perfectly until yesterday. I'm checking the UI site as well, but haven't turned up anything yet.
Thanks
Try updating to 2.4.2. It has a change to support protect. All in the release notes.
The update "partially" fixes the issue, but the full fix should be in next build. The motion events trigger with "all smart detections" setting in this build, but the individual "smart detections" still don't work currently.
Ubiquity made an undocumented change to the API in Protect 6.0, not sure if it was deliberate, but it breaks the current integration. The fix is designed to work with both the Protect 5.0 and Protect 6.0 builds so if Ubiquity "fixes" it the integration should still work as designed.

Ah, there's the answer.
I could swear that it has been working since the update to 6.0, but maybe I've just been clueless.
Edit: Unfortunately that didn't help so I'll have to see what the next release brings.
Which integration are you running? is it the built in one or one of the community ones.
This is referring to the in-built protect intergration which uses the official Unifi API.
ok. Well that would explain why I haven't seen the issue.

That is correct. This is the official drivers.
I had recently installed a community driver on a different hub to test and removed it just in case there was some strange interaction with Protect. Seemed unlikely, but I had some odd behaviors when I moved Protect from a UDMP to a UNVR. I didn't get the smart events until I shutdown the UDMP version.
Hopefully the next build will be out soon. If not, I have two options: reenable the PIR sensors or try to roll back the Protect version.
Glad to see i was not the only one. I have been playing around with the Protect Cameras and using them as triggers. I noticed in the logs the SmartDetections were no longer showing, only motion. I thought maybe I did something......
Happy it is getting resolved. Thanks for bringing it up.

If you sign up for beta releases the fix was just released, I can confirm it works with 6.0 protect.
I usually wait a week or so before installing any new releases to see if there are any issues with it. The funny thing is, I didn't wait this time on the Protect update. I wanted to see the new features. Waiting wouldn't have helped in this case since I haven't seen any reports of this particular failure.
I tend to stay away from beta releases for a production server. It isn't a huge deal in this case. Now that I know the cause I can wait until the next release.
Thanks
