UK Toasters that can be automated?

Does anyone know of a toaster that's available in the UK that can be automated?
My current one pops out the bread when power is disconnected so I cannot use a smart outlet to trigger it.

I too would be interested in this?

Confused. How would you automate getting the bread slices from the fridge to the toaster?

I wish I could go that far. :grinning:
I would be putting in frozen slices the night before putting it mechanically on without power.

Somewhere, someone is sketching out a toaster with a robotic arm right now.....

I don't think one is available, but that said, let's assume you want to kick it at 6am. You go to bed at 10 and drop bread in the toaster on your way to bread. It's gonna be pretty stale by the time 6 am rolls around

I’d put it in frozen. But that said I might have to check that. I was thinking the toasting would get around that.

It won't... Ive tried believe me...lol....

I already have the ultimate automatic toaster - a 1950s vintage Sunbeam T-20. We call it "The Brave Little Toaster" as it just keeps working, and is utterly silent. It is engineered by a level of genius not seen since, run entirely by bi-metalic bars that deform when heated. The only control is a knob to adjust darkness of toast. The toast gently lowers by itself, and gently rises by itself when toasted, silently, and without fuss.

If plugged into a controlled outlet, and pre-loaded with bread or English muffins the night before, it will happily toast on command, as there is no need to ever push down a lever. BUT THIS IS A 120-VOLT DEVICE. The 50/60hz issue would not matter, but you'd need to step down the voltage, with a solid transformer to handle the high current drawn by any toaster.

There is a cult surrounding these toasters. See http://www.automaticbeyondbelief.org

I knew older toasters were easier to automate.
