Hi everyone,
We’re the Repenic team, a UK-based smart electrical hardware brand.
At Repenic, we believe smart technology should feel as considered as the spaces it belongs in. We bring together refined materials, timeless design, and thoughtful smart-home functionality to create electrical hardware that complements the character of a well-designed home.
We’re looking for Hubitat Elevation users who would like to try one of our Zigbee products in their own homes and share their honest, real-world experience with the community.
We’re especially interested in learning how our devices perform with Hubitat, including Zigbee pairing, driver support, device events, local control, and automation possibilities.
What’s on offer?
We’re offering selected testers one free Repenic product of their choice from the following four options.
1. Zigbee Smart Dimmer
A rotary smart dimmer designed for compatible dimmable lighting circuits, with no neutral wire required. Press the knob to switch the lights on or off, then turn it to adjust brightness. It supports selectable leading-edge and trailing-edge dimming for compatible lamps.
It's designed for conventional dimmable lighting, rather than smart bulbs.
We're particularly interested in how it performs with Hubitat.
2. Zigbee Smart Toggle Switch
A traditional-style toggle switch that combines tactile physical control with Zigbee smart-home functionality.
Its smart-bulb features, including Remote Control Mode and Find & Bind, are designed to allow compatible Zigbee smart bulbs to be controlled from the wall without interrupting their power supply when correctly configured, helping them remain connected to your smart home.
3. Zigbee Smart Rocker Switch
A classic rocker-style switch with familiar physical operation and Zigbee connectivity.
Like the Toggle, it supports Remote Control Mode and Find & Bind for compatible Zigbee smart bulbs, allowing physical wall control while keeping the bulbs powered and connected when correctly configured.
4. Zigbee Smart Socket
A UK double wall socket that combines considered design with smart control.
It offers two independently controlled mains outlets, individual energy monitoring for each outlet and integrated dual USB-C charging.
Energy monitoring covers the two mains outlets, but not the USB-C ports.
You can choose whichever product interests you most. Preferred finishes and gang configurations, where applicable, can be discussed during selection, subject to availability and compatibility with your setup.
A Note for UK and European Testers
We primarily welcome UK-based testers, but Hubitat users from other European countries are also very welcome to apply!
Our Smart Dimmer, Smart Toggle and Smart Rocker are designed for 220–240V electrical systems and UK-style wall fittings. They may also be suitable for installations in other European countries, provided that the wiring, mounting arrangement and local electrical requirements are compatible.
The main consideration is back-box and mounting compatibility. If you're based in mainland Europe and have a suitable solution for accommodating UK-style wall fittings, we'd be happy to hear from you.
Please let us know your country and how you plan to address the installation requirements. We'll confirm the suitability of the specific product, including applicable regulatory requirements, before arranging delivery.
Please note that our Smart Socket uses UK-standard mains outlets and is not a direct replacement for continental European socket formats.
Who Are We Looking For?
We’d love to hear from people who already use Hubitat and enjoy experimenting with Zigbee devices, building automations, or exploring new smart-home hardware.
Experience with Rule Machine, custom drivers or Zigbee device configuration is welcome, but not essential.
You don’t need to be a professional reviewer or have a large social media following. We’re interested in people with a suitable setup who are willing to test the product properly and share useful, honest findings.
Whether you're based in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, we'd be interested in hearing about your setup and what you'd like to explore.
What Do We Ask in Return?
In exchange for the free product sample, we ask selected testers to publish an honest, public review or detailed testing report after trying the product.
Ideally, this would be a hands-on article on your own blog or website. A detailed public technical review on another suitable platform, including the Hubitat Community where permitted by the forum's rules, may also be considered.
Screenshots, configuration details and device logs, where appropriate, would be especially helpful.
For an example of the kind of detailed, hands-on review we have in mind, see this review of our Zigbee dimmer by Smart Home Assistant:
We value independent opinions and constructive criticism. There is no requirement to give a positive review, and we won’t ask you to change your conclusions to suit us.
As the product is provided free of charge in exchange for a public review, please clearly disclose this arrangement in your published content, including any required advertising or incentive disclosure.
We’ll agree on the expected review format and publishing arrangements with selected testers before sending out samples.
