The finished product wheelie bin detector version 1.0 
Although it works, the pressure mat can be a bit iffy. It sometimes needs a bit of moving or the wheelie bin to close the contacts. Does anyone know of any cheap but highly sensitive pressure mats? I think part of the issue is the surface area that comes in contact with the Matt is small as there is a ridge around the bottom of the bin + the wheels
