Ubiquiti router recommendation

WIfe ended up gone all day at work (they are going in one day a week now). So I missed a perfect opportunity to install and set up LR in her absence.

Oops...just thought of this. Wasn't there some sort of anti-theft config/trick you have to do to release a NanoHD from the ceiling mount? Doesn't just twist right off?

Off to Google-land...

There is usually a little metal shim you stick in a slot that releases the catch.. otherwise brute force works too.. :weight_lifting_man:

I am. Guess I should read that link.

Yeah, what @erktrek said. The 6LR has a slightly different key, but it works generally the same way. Seemed to take more effort to get it to lock in...

I just meant that it seemed like we had a bunch of chickens here, running only GA FW.

I've been running betas for ages and haven't run into any significant issues...yet.

That rings a bell...I probably put the shim in a "safe place" that will ensure it is now impossible to find at this point.

I think I'll need a bigger hammer...

A skewer would probably work..

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) the appropriate phrase is OMG, it's here!

Also, OMG, it's huge!

Will be quietly setting it up in the family room and then wait for a closed door Zoom meeting to start so I can sneak it up on the ceiling.

And very cool packaging of installation gear.

And glossy...?

If it is your zoom call, just make sure you have your pants on before rising to the higher level.

Yep… I went there!

Still covered w/plastic protector in that pic. Thank goodness it's normal matte...

I would say "Pics or it didn't happen" but not sure I really want to see.

It gets worse, particularly with quick release accessories.. but I don’t think the wife should complain

You could have gone with the "lite" version and selected from a half-dozen skins! Including camo for that campground look. They work with the Lite as well as the Nano.

Dang, and I'm pretty sure that would be my wife's favorite look for the living room.

Curious - what are you guys using for the LR radio settings (channel width and power)?

I have left most of my stuff with the default settings.
