Hey all,
I’ve picked up several of these Zigbee water sensors from Temu very cheap, to specifically use as water level monitoring for my sump pump and macerated pump pits. Says, Tuya on the box, but these don’t look like other Tuya sensors I saw. In any case, they paired fine using the generic zigbee water sensor driver and did report wet condition and changed state back to dry when tested.
Wanted to see if anyone else are using these, and if so how they’ve been performing.
Here’s what they look like
I have the same sensor monitoring the water level in an overflow tank. Has been working well since it was added 11/29/2023.
Using the ‘Tuya NEO Coolcam Zigbee Water Leak Sensor’ driver from @kkossev.
This is the data from my sensor.

Great to know! I will change to that driver as well - thank you for your feedback!
Or… maybe I should stick with the generic driver for now to see how it does. Did you try it as well and it wasn’t stable? Or why did you switch to the custom driver?
This is what I get from it
We both have the same device.
I didn’t use the generic driver. @kkossev makes great drivers for Tuya devices, so I used his.
I have a similar, using the Tuya/NeoCoolCam driver. Mine fell off initially, then settled down. If it doesn't select the correct driver on first pairing, you must change the driver and then re-pair in place without removing to properly initialize everything
I think this is the link to driver

Cool. Thank you guys. I will switch to the custom driver then.
Alright, so I have added 3 of these sensors using the Tuya custom driver. All three have been on the mesh with regular reporting for 3 days so far, however, one of them for some reason isn’t reporting states, whereas the other two are fine. Tried setting it to a generic driver, then back to custom, nothing seems to help. Should I remove it and repair it maybe?
Try deleting it (REMOVE DEVICE red button) and pair it again very close to the hub.
In the State Variables section, rxCounter = 0 means that nothing is recorded from the sensor after the initial pairing.
