Tuya Integration (beta)

Been running the cloud integration for some time. Was excited to see the local built-in integration in a recent release. I'm running 2.4.4.132 on a C-8 hub.

When I installed the app I entered my credentials and then "Fetch Cloud Devices". the window then populated with my devices.

Next I clicked on "Scan LAN for devices" and - nothing! I was expecting the IP and status fields to populate. No new devices added either.

The devices are still accessible and working with the cloud integration.

What am I doing wrong?

TIA,
Steve

This integration uses Cloud project for device discovery, and Device control and status updates are done locally, which I presume are for WiFi devices only. So do you have any WiFi devices?

All 6 are WiFi.

Okay, that's strange, it seems in your case that the Integration has failed to identify your WiFi devices.

In my case it has correctly identified all WiFi devices, with correct status, either online or offline (Zemismart M1 hub maybe showing offline as it is not part of Cloud integration :man_shrugging:)

I now see this integration requires a C-8 Pro. Not sure when it changed, as it was ok with my C-8 when I first tried it?

Is there a way to send my vacuum to base? If i filp the "switch" to off it just sits there, not a problem but it feels like the 2000s manually moving it back to the base :o.

TIA

Yes I too found this. Is there hope that us c8 owners will be able to use this integration?

I use home assistant to bring tuya devices itlm at the moment but I'd prefer to use w native hubitat integration if it's possible.

I recently upgraded to the C8 pro and wanted to switch my unreliable virtual switch Alexa relays for Tuya over to a native integration. I can’t figure this out. All my devices have an address reservation with my Wi-Fi. There are different types, but that doesn’t explain the ones that work and don’t. They will initially all show up as “import” and then either disappear or then connect with an IP address and disconnect from wifi. Please help me try the next thing. Although the names are similar each item is a separate device in my Tuya app. I believe the ones that never had an IP address are currently offline in the app (unplugged somewhere in my house). I’m trying to sleuth out why Garage outlet connected fine and stays connected, whilst Smart Plug 3 refuses to. They are all outlet on off Wifi plugs and are using the device handler SmartLife/Tuya Wifi Plug (although I tried a couple others too)
