FYI, I bought one of these to try it out since they are so cheap.
The Hubitat Compatible Devices document lists a Tuya Smart Zigbee Motion sensor but with different product number. I figured I would try this driver, but it did not appear in the device “Type” drop down list after I paired the sensor. I tried the generic driver but it did not work. I tried a few other drivers and stumbled on the “Linkind Zigbee Motion Sensor” and it seemed to work.
Glad you got it working... Tuya is a tough nut to crack (even for zigbee) since "Tuya" isn't a brand per se -- it's just a big tent of countless Chinese companies that sell the same or slightly tweaked versions of the same thing. Those slight tweaks are typically undocumented and can vary widely from one AliEx company to another, so trying to perfect a driver for any one Tuya device is a never-ending game of wack-a-mole.
I think (just my opinion) that's why Hubitat staff is wary to support "Tuya" stuff any more directly than they currently do -- keeping up with normal manufacturers is hard enough, but Tuya takes that to a whole 'nother level of crazy.
We're very blessed to have @kkossev in the community -- that dude is a tireless & tenacious machine creating great zigbee Tuya drivers. If you are looking for Tuya zigbee device support, search for Krassimir's posts in the Community here.
