Ladies and Gentlemen:

The Situation: I am using an old mobile phone as an extension phone. (Don't ask...) I don't want to leave it on a charger 24/7. I experimented with it, and find that the battery goes down to about 30% in five days if it just sits idle.

What I Want to Do: I want to turn on a smart plug every five days for (n) number of hours, then shut it off. I know how to turn it on and off in Rule Machine. What I DON'T know how to do is...

The Question: Turn this plug on every five days. I looked at some other similar topics and see something about Chron strings that is so far over my head you may as well pump oxygen to it. Do any of you have a way for me to do this in a manner I might understand?

Link to the Cron Generator is on the RM screen but this trigger should work for you (runs at midnight every 5 days):

In rule machine you can do periodic schedule every n days...

Is it an Android phone? If so, there is a way with Tasker ($4 on Play Store) and a smart plug, you can have plug turn off when battery reaches a chosen level and turns back on when it falls to the low end level you select.
