Trying to Include a Somfy/TUBE Shade to my Automation

Hi! I have one remote controlled electric shade in my bedroom, that I thought I could integrate to my smarthouse using the Broadlink RM4 Pro, as the rest in my house... but Im having some problems...

Appartently this motor is not just RF but RF RTL or something like that, and is not working. Does anyone else have the same problem? Is there a workaround?

Thanks!

Fernando

I have Somfy motors in my blinds and I think what you are referring to is a rolling code that they use, i.e. not the same code is transmitted each time. Personally I use a Bond bridge to control mine, which provides me control via Hubitat using a Community developed Bond set of drivers, although recently Bond has been added to the list of supported "devices" with built-in drivers.

Others, particularly in the US, have used Z-Wave devices that can also control the Somfy motors. You may want to look around the Community for zrtsi or something similar.

Thanks for your suggestion! I like the Bond idea, looks straight forward... Its kind of a Broadlink RMPro but with capability for rolling codes?

Thanks!

Sorry, meant to get back to you earlier.... Without having researched the capabilities of either enough, my suspicion would be that Bond allows for RF along with the rolling codes they have developed in there platform, whereas RM4 I expect may allow for IR as well. At the very least I would suggest researching this avenue to make sure whichever option you choose will satisfy your needs.
