Try to figure out this one - cat tracking

Ed (@EdMcW) and Dominick (@dman2306), I’m going to have to stop reading this forum, it’s just making me spend more money buying things I didn’t know that I needed. After seeing your posts in this thread, today I bought the larger version of the cat door mentioned above:

SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect

It’s out of stock on Amazon and SurePet, but Chewy has it at the same price as Amazon, free delivery in 3 days via FedEx.

One of my cats is too large for the smaller cat door. And that’s after installing a Litter Robot 3 a week ago using Dominick’s great driver port and rules to change the colors of all the under-counter vanity lights to reflect the fullness of the litter drawer, as suggested and inspired by Jared Zimmerman (@jared.zimmerman).

Now, if SurePet only made one for the front door that was big enough for the dogs...

Well, COVID stimulus money being used to revive the pet automation sector of the economy.

Something my wife pointed out, is that Buddy the cat has attempted to bring in the house, bloody mice, birds and a snake. The Surecat does not ensure that these bloody half eaten items will remain outside.

Can you add an object-recognition camera system that would lock the cat door if said cat is carrying an unwanted gift?

That would help warm the cat. The warming effect would encourage the cat to orient the implanted charging coil with the Qi charger.

I keep waiting for one that is big enough for medium sized dogs. No one seems to make one.
