I have Konnected all set and working with my various door and windows sensors from my 12 year old wired security system. I wired my first motion detector into one of the zones, and although it has power and works (i.e., the light on the motion detector goes on and off on the unit when it detects motion), it doesn't seem to be working in HE. Here is what I have:
I have Konnected and HE set up all working great
I have the motion sensor wired into one of the zones
I have downloaded and installed the drivers for "Konnected motion sensor" into the HE app
I can see the device as a motion sensor in the "Devices" in HE
I added this device as a tile in my dashboard using the "Motion" template
Whenever I walk in front of the motion sensor, the tile stays green and doesn't change, even though the actual motion sensing unit's light is changing
I guess I just don't know what to troubleshoot, since this all seems rather straight forward. I checked the "events" log and the only listing is the date and time it was hooked up. So no other "events" are registering, even though the device itself is clearly sensing motion.
Any other information I should provide that I am missing? The motion sensor unit is only 12 years old, but I can try to find the make and model if that is needed? Thanks as always for the amazing support.
I assume you have also installed and configured the Konnected apps (Connect and Service Manager apps). If you have manually created the motion sensor device, you will need to delete it. It is created by the app during the configuration process. Also ensure that you have selected the correct "D" pin in the app.
Thanks and yes, I have installed and configured both apps (sorry forgot to mention this). When I added the sensor, I added it through the Konnected App, specifically when setting up the new Konnected Hub, once I added it using the "Konnected (Connect) v2.2.6" app.
I don't know what you mean though by "Also ensure that you have selected the correct "D" pin in the app." I attached a screenshot to show you the zone the motion sensor is connected? I used the "Konnected" pin mapping overall, not NODEMCU . Thanks!
Make sure that the Konnected device is powered on and connected to Wifi when you click Save on the zone assignments screen. This is when Hubitat syncs settings to the Konnected device.
Can we see a screenshot of your device status page? This is accessible from the first page of the Konnected app -- after you click on the device there's a link to see device status.
Thanks and will be sure to keep it as Konnected, per stephack's advice.
Nate, see the screenshots below. I had to use 2 to get all the details. As for your first paragraph, I will test that tonight, but I assumed it was on when I hit "save" but I can be sure to test that again tonight.
Your settings look ok. I see zone 6 is set (pin 9) and the state is 0 (closed). I think the software setup is fine.
Check inside your motion sensors for resistors and remove them if found. Some motion sensors have a tamper circuit that needs to be rewired slightly to work with Konnected. This is especially common in the UK and Europe.
Ok, thanks Nate, I will do that. May be a few days before I get a chance to do this, but I will report back for you (and anyone else who may have this issue) and let you know the status.
Nate, perhaps one day I will send you a question that you can't answer, but not today! Your suggestion was exactly spot on. There was a resistor in the motion detector. I removed it and it works great! Thanks Nate as always!
I have an issue with all looks good but Konnected never shows the devices. Hubitat shows the Siren driver but nothing else.
I am lost as its seems the drivers are being uploading or not be configured as they should.
Have you loaded all of the drivers from the Konnected github repo into Hubitat? There should be 12 of them. You need to upload all of them to your hub via the Driver code menu on the left.
What do you mean by "no other driver shows up"? Do you mean on the list of available drivers? If they don't show there, then they aren't uploaded. For each driver you have to click on the "new driver" button, then import it, either through the Raw file URL from GitHub or by copy/paste.
@nate is the Alarm Panel v2 working with the same drivers? I have a similar issue like Collins had.
Everything has been installed correctly and devices showed up. I checked the motion sensors and they have resistors. Just removed them from one sensor, but still no luck... Some inputs show active and some inactive. I can walk around everywhere, but no changes...
Yes, same drivers and same software.
If you're in the UK/Europe you may need to adjust the wiring inside the motion sensor in addition to removing the resistors. Post or send a pic and I can give specific advice.
