Troubleshooting Mode Changes

I cannot figure out what is changing my mode, but assuming a rule deleted but not completely for some reason. Is there a way to check 'in use by' for modes, like you can a device?

I've disabled every app that I think is even close to changing modes, turned on logs both past and watched live, rebooted and rebooted with database restore.

I'm at a loss for where to look - does anyone have any suggestions?

Essentially if mode changes to a 'Day' oriented mode (like "Day" or "Daytime Vacant"), it will immediately apply and then immediately following apply "Evening" or "Evening Vacant", I think if it's after 12ET but not sure.

I have my own version of mode manager, screenshot below, which determines mode based on time and presence. The rule itself seems fine, but it's possible that it's looping or being re-run really fast and I can't catch it. But thought that would show in logs, which it doesn't. I screenshot'd the mode manager rule, cleared live logs, ran actions and screenshot'd logs under.

@bobbyD any ideas where to look?

What is "Palmyra Mode Evening" in your logs? That transition seems to trigger some events, but is not listed in your rule.

Those (2057, 2049) are two different room lighting apps being trigger based on the actual Mode change I'm trying to isolate/detect

How is Night Mode activated? I see that as a condition, but it is not set via your rule. Where is it set?

I have another rule for setting night mode. I have two pressure mats under our positions in bed that when both closed for over a minute and our bedroom door is closed and it's evening and after a certain time, plus a double tap button via zooz dimmer for manual trigger.

@Hubitat_Staff I need help on this one. I have enabled all logging detail I can, disabled entire apps (ex, rule machine), manually triggered a mode change to day and can only see the mode go from day to evening immediately but with no trigger on the evening.
I'm at a loss for what to do it how to troubleshoot further.

Maybe it's a stupid idea but have you tried deleting some modes to see what complaints appear in the logs? Taking a backup just prior.

Two other things you could consider:

1.) Rebuilding the rule from scratch - sometimes things just "happen" with no real fix. Often, rebuilding the rules seems to fix it.

2.) Breaking down the modes into smaller rules. I strongly recommend this as it will make troubleshooting significantly easier.
