In searching if this works with Hubitat, i see that there were some programs written but is there an easier way to do this?
Via Alexa?

I'm not interested in hacking the switch to get it to work.

It won't run natively. You could create a virtual switch on HE and expose it to alexa to have alexa run a routine to turn it on. That's not exactly ideal though. No one here wants to rely on the cloud. I would flash the device with the tasmota http hook and use the community driver. Instructions here..

This is a component driver I created for use with a bunch of Treatlife DS03 Fan and Dimmer switches I just bought. They are also sold as Esmlfe Smart Ceiling Fan Control and Dimmers. Thanks for the info. Those are not instructions.
Everything in there assumes you know how to flash a device.

And I said I'm not interested in hacking a device.
It's a fan and light. I'll take my chances on the cloud. If it doesn't turn my device on I promise it's not the end of the world.
