Hi everyone,
I’m running a C-7 and I have a Rule Machine rule that sends a notification (phone + TTS) the evening before garbage/recycling pickup. Right now it alternates between “garbage” and “recycling” every week using a Boolean variable, all year long.
My city’s actual schedule is seasonal:
- Early May to early October: pickup every week, for both garbage and recycling.
- Second week of October to end of April: pickup every two weeks, alternating garbage and recycling.
Pickup day is Friday, and I want the notification on Thursday at 6:00 PM.
What I’d like to achieve:

During the summer period, send a single notification each week: “Don’t forget to put out the garbage AND the recycling.”

During the winter period, keep my current alternation: one week garbage, the next week recycling.

Ideally, no manual intervention when seasons change, and the rule should repeat every year without editing the dates.
