Trane thermostat is not hooking up to the hub. Trane does recognize the hub. Have done a reboot of thermostat. I do not have the old apple router that worked with thermostat. I bought this for the thermostat only as the rest of my devices work with my eeros router.
What model of thermostat are we talking about? In the list of compatible devices, I see

If this is it, are you trying to do a Z-Wave include? We need to know more about what steps you are taking, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
It is a 824. It worked perfect with Apple system I had that finally quit. Added new router and added Hubitat. I have gone to the smart home and removed the device. I have tried to add device from thermostat, and also by adding through hub app for add device. Thermostat does not recognize hub. Recognizes my router, but since router is not wave will not hook up. I also did a reboot of the trane system..
Well, that's not on the compatibility list but it might still work. I do see in the user manual it has ZWave+ with security (which may be part of the issue). I'd suggest doing a factory reset of Z-Wave settings on the thermostat and general exclude from Hubitat. Then try to include it from the hub.
I don't think trying to add the hub from the thermostat is thinking in the right direction. The thermostat is a device on the hub.
Perhaps someone that already has a Trane can jump in with some suggestions.
OK, I have removed the device at the thermostat level. I will try and add from Hub app. How do you rest the security on the thermostat settings? Previously, I would see my network and just add the password and it worked. I do not have a password for the hub, it never asked for one on setup.
I have both did a remove wave device on thermostat and an exclusion on the hub app
