Tradfri switch - behaving weirdly

Hi. C7 user here - latest update installed.

I have a number of Tradfri switches hooked up to lamps around the house. I use Google Home to control them, but also have HomeKit installed. HomeKit rarely works (keeps dropping out….supposedly I need my AppleTV running off Ethernet to avoid this…).

The issue I am having is that some of the switches randomly become misrepresented in Google home - stating they are on when they are off and/or vice versa. If a light is off and Google says it on and I then turn it off within the app….it flicks straight away back to on but no change to the actual Iight.

When I look at the device in Hubitat to check whether its current state is correct or not - it is not. Hitting refresh corrects it.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions? I have tried resetting the switch, removing it from Hubitat and adding it all back in again - no difference.

Cheers
Chris

Being that it is Tradfri, I suspect you are using a community based driver? If so, which one?

Is this a new issue, or been happening since you paired these switches with Hubitat?

Which model number are they?

Hi Neonturbo

I’m not sure which community driver I’m using, I just go to add device, Find by brand, type IKEA, choose outlet/plug and choose TRADFRI outlet.

Yes, this has been happening since I set them up.

I’m not sure where to find what the model number is - software build is 20024623…

The Zigbee Model and Manufacturer can be found at the bottom of the device web page in HE - Device Details, Data section.

Might be worth having a look at this thread  to see if there is any updates for your outlets:
