Tplink ms100 motion sensor

Does any one know which device type to setup TPLink ms100 motion sensor?

A previous post suggested "Choose the generic motion sensor device and after you pair them, remove the batteries for a reset and all will be OK." However, in the current version, there are 'Generic Component Motion Sensor', 'Generic Zigbee Motion Sensor', and 'Generic Z-wave motion sensor'. The MS100 motion sensor can be discovered as a Zigbee device. But it does not report any events.

The motion sensor seems to response to motion. A blue led on the front blinks when a motion is detected.

Thank you.

Ok, 'Generic Zigbee Motion Sensor (no temp)' seems to work. Hub reports only a battery status of 100. But there is no event logged. A simple rule to turn on a smart bulb does not work either. The same bulb can be turned on by a smart contact sensor. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I have 2 of these sensors and use the Generic Zigbee Motion Sensor. This works very well for me.

If it's a Zigbee device, you definitely need a Zigbee driver. Component and Z-wave are for completely different protocols.

Right, I picked Generic Zigbee Motion Sensor (no temp)'. It does report a battery status of 100. But that's it. I don't see any events logged. The motion sensor itself does flash its blue LED when a motion is triggered. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hubitat hub also reported last battery reading time which is 1638754597. This converts to the time when I first set it up. It feels like that the sensor lost communication to the hub after the very initial communication.

Are you hitting "Configure" on the device page after choosing the driver?

Yes, that's it. After clicking 'Configure', the motion sensor started working. Thanks a lot!

There isn't much info about these sensors around the 'net. Would either of you recommend these devices?

Yes I would. They have worked perfectly for about a year now. Just check the measurements, they are a bit large. They sense motion but nothing else. No temp or humidity or anything.

I see Hubitat does not log every motion detected by MS100, even the blue led flashes every time.
