Noticed this morning that my apps are still running an hour out, have checked my time stting and that says 9:00 am GMT. But an app set for 10:00am has just started. What have I missed???
The hub time updates automatically but for this one day your rules may be an hour out. My curtains open at 8.00AM on a rule. Although the hub time updated correctly for DST, the bedroom curtains opened at 7.00AM - so I had to crawl naked on my hands and knees to avoid half of Middlesbrough getting an eyeful.
I can't recall the technical explanation of why this happens. I think it is because the hub passes midnight and 8AM is set for the rule, but then at 2AM, the hour changes back, and although the hub time is updated, 8AM is still at GMT as it was set at midnight.
It's something along those lines. @bravenel explained it last time around. I believe it's too much of a chew to allow for this in the RM code and not worth it for a single day. I thought I might just set up something in my rule instances to allow for this and correct it only on the days of DST change.
Could be, just set a simple rule to turn a light on at 11am and it came on ok. Will wait to see what happens. Ta
That will work fine, because you created the rule now in GMT for a time that is also in GMT. What happens for existing rules today, is that the time is referenced to BST but has now changed to GMT. So if you have any other existing time based rules they will run an hour out until midnight tonight, when normal service will resume.
Could you PM me your hub's id? I can take a look at the engineering logs on the hub.
Also, which apps/rules misbehaved? A couple of examples should be enough.

So is it not expected behaviour that rules would trigger one hour out on the day of DST change? I'm sure last time around it was explained that there would be issues like that with rules.
While my hub time changed correctly, the following rule triggered and opened the bedroom curtain at 7:00AM:
