Tile Creation

I have had a working/stable environment on a C-7 for several years. I recently mogarted to a C-8 Pro. The migration was smooth and successful. Against my better judgement I went poking around. Because of my poking, I decided to add a Hue Bridge to the mix. I have been learning many things because when you break things you have the opportunity to potentially learn how things work.

Things have been more or less going smoothly but there is one thing that totally flummoxes me. Dashboard "switch" tiles that were previously working have become a challenge to get functioning and stable. I will deal with it.

The challenge at the moment occurs when adding or a new tile or modifying an existing tile.

I open a Dashboard. Select "+" which opens the "Add a Tile" window.
I work from left to right.
Select A Device, Select a Template, Select Other Options.

It has been my experience that after having selecting a device that the device selected is not highlighted. I did select "Cat (BR)" but it was not highlighted after selecting same. I selected other devices to no avail before choosing a template. The template selected thus far has always been highlighted. I have selected template first and then selected a device and that did not work. I have tried different browser thinking that may be the issue.

My question: When I select a device should it be highlighted at the moment of selection? Assuming the answer the answer is "yes" what is a recommended course of action that might might be taken to make things workable. Thank You

This is in Safari on a MacBook. In the latest release v2.4.0.x I've noticed that the device highlight is really pale, but it is there.

Have you tried adding the tile to see if it adds with the correct device?

I am using a MacBook Air. Yes. I am able to add tiles.
Thanks for confirming that your viewing experience is similar/the same. I experience this visual challenege regardless of the browser in use. I find this trend of using subtle grey/gray on white background, dynamic narrow scroll bars, etc to be disconcerting. It has gotten to the point that I went looking for a work around that I could employ as it (imo) is needlessly time consuming as well as being an a strain on the eyes.

I am not fond of using a Dark Background but out of necessity I have been trying that approach as my work around at the moment.

Thx.
