Third reality zigbee outlet driver

Just installed third reality zigbee plug, the driver doesn’t show the power consumption (only on or off)….any recommendations for a driver that would show the power info?

There are a few models of the 3rd reality plugs. I know having gone down this path.

Here is one of mine - doing the work nicely.

Be sure you obtained the right model to do power monitoring. There are what I call gen1 units that didn't do power, and gen2 units that you can buy either with or without power monitor. Need to be really clear at time of purchase which one you are getting.
I myself have begun using these as my standard.
When these first arrived in the HE world, smart people said 'these are to chatty'. meaning they sent power data to often and caused issues. 3rd Reality fixed it (which I though was very smart and responsive - I think a 3rd reality engineer hangs out here) and the firmware update button works. Updating the firmware made these great for me.
I note as well that they are shaped so you don't cover the 2nd plug of an outlet, a weakness of many outlets like Cmars, eWelink etc.
There is a 3rd reality driver I think on HPM, from a Jonathan Bradshaw. v. 1.03
I modded that driver for my needs. I use the same driver for power and non-power monitoring for streamlining.

I am using the Gen 2 with Power monitoring and the native driver doesn't give all that information. Does the driver in HPM give all that information?

By the way these are awesome plugs and I have to recommend them. I also use the non power monitoring in areas where I don't need it.

forgive me, I got lost - when you say native driver - can you screen cap yours?
I pulled mine by HPM - I searched for 'Third'. The one fr4om Jonathan Bradshaw is the base code I use

My apologies I am just using the generic zigbee outlet driver that is native in the hub. I will screen shot what it shows which is just power and switch state.

What did you change when you modified his driver?

One thing that I have noticed is sometimes the system does sometimes lag on showing a power level change. It may not change for a while. Does Jonathon's driver update more quickly?

i have not compared the drivers - feel free.
the mod was for tile and some logging trouble I corrected.
I suggest you choose the other driver, then see if you get a power reading.
GL!

I will try the other driver. This one happened to show zero due to the TV being turned off and not pulling any power at the time. It will show power, but it sometimes is just a little slow to update. I have three of them. One on the washer and two on TV's. They work great except sometimes the TV ones are a little slow to report. I will try the other driver and see what happens.
